Escalation
Escalation Settings in Nuntio
The Escalation feature in Nuntio ensures that users are notified about unread messages via SMS or phone call after a specified period of time. This is useful if a user does not read an in-app notification in time, providing an extra layer of communication.
To configure Escalation Settings, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Access the Escalation Settings
Open the Nuntio App:
Launch the Nuntio app on your mobile device.
Open the Menu:
Tap the three-line cheeseburger menu in the top-left corner to open the app’s settings menu.
Navigate to Escalation:
From the menu, select Escalation to access the notification escalation settings.
Step 2: Configuring SMS Escalation
Enable SMS Escalation:
Toggle the Enable SMS Escalation option to turn on SMS notifications for unread messages.
Set the SMS Delay:
Use the slider under Send SMS notification after to set the delay time in minutes. This determines how long Nuntio waits after an unread message to send an SMS alert.
Example: If set to 2 minutes, an SMS will be sent if the message is not read within 2 minutes of receipt.
Step 3: Configuring Phone Call Escalation
Enable Phone Escalation:
Toggle the Enable Phone Escalation option to turn on phone call notifications for unread messages.
Set the Phone Call Delay:
Use the slider under Receive Phone notification after to set the delay time in minutes. This determines how long Nuntio waits after an unread message to make a phone call alert.
Example: If set to 9 minutes, a phone call will be triggered if the message remains unread after 9 minutes.
How Escalation Works:
Once Escalation is enabled, if a user does not read a message within the specified timeframe, they will be notified by SMS or phone call based on the configured delay settings. This feature ensures that critical notifications are not missed.
